ATE Focus for All-Member Meeting

Hello again!

In the spirit of transparency and communication, below are the topics ATE will focus on for the upcoming AATA Meeting. While they may be refined before the meeting, these provide an overall idea for your convenience and awareness:

Plans for AATA Meeting on July 13th

Follow-Ups

  • Anti-Harrassment Policy - Feedback

    • Acknowledge progress on policy

      • Still needs work

    • Feedback: Requirement to report to all relevant to accreditation entities

      • Focus on AATA membership status?

  • AATA Resolutions - Updates

    • Resolutions Committee

    • Task Force

  • AATA leadership Promises on Dialogue Opportunities

    • Promised “options for communication and dialogue”

      • Pride and Student Conversation Forums/Presentations - Beneficial and constructive but do not allow for open back-and-forth on pertinent AATA topics (e.g. nominations)

Additional Topics To Be Considered

  • AATA and Mending the Past

    • “Paralyzed with inaction”

      • Its relationship to the Karen Pence incident

    • “How do we move to action when action is needed?”

  • Information on AATA Committees

    • Information and how to get involved

    • Maybe post a link?

The goal is to maximize time and facilitate progress during the meeting. Other pertinent topics are still in our radar and will strategically be addressed as we move forward.

Hi Dana!

Really good point! I have made the suggested modifications, which can be found in the ATE Google Drive.

There was discussion about why AATA would hesitate on this idea, aligning with your perspective. The plan is to inquire a bit more and open up pertinent discussions and clarifications.

Thank you for your feedback and input!

Please let us know if there is more to edit and/or consider.😉
